Hi there,
Hope you are well, this show is about Chiptunes and it´s a tribute to Commodore 64, 8 bit sounds, retro videogame soundtracks and all the electronic music that has been influenced by this. I’m a huge fan of this weird music, our guest this month is my good friend Cora Novoa, an artist from my label Natura Sonoris and one of the most interesting upcoming artists in Europe right now. Her music is really related to this kind of sound and melodic style and it´s a great example of how you can show really complex emotions with the most basic electronic sounds. Her exclusive set shows how chiptunes are a big influence for many styles and producers today and it´s also one of my favourite sets of this year.
First you can listen to my set, a little journey through my favourite oldschool videogame soundtracks, from that basic retro sound to producers that use this same musical language today.
